I see many dazzling white swans swimming on a river- these beautiful birds are full of God’s glory. The birds have come together from many brooks and tributaries and the river is becoming a wide estuary as it meets the sea- but the swans are not afraid.
These glorious swans are strong and resilient birds; they are not weak, but are well able to complete the journey that lies ahead. Their feathers remain pure white, as day after day, the river of grace washes the dust of the earth’s atmosphere away.
They have an inward compass and know that they have been created for this journey. As the waters rise, so they rise- they are supernaturally anointed to thrive as the water becomes deeper and deeper and wider and wider.
The river is immense, and the birds look small by comparison, yet they swim with confidence. They swim on and on, finally completing their journey and landing at the foot of a throne, where Jesus is sitting and waiting to welcome them home.
